Stitch and Share was originally started as a friendship group to enable ladies from the Channel to get to know like-minded people.

We now meet at the Kingborough Bowls and Community Club almost every Monday afternoon from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm. Some ladies knit, some crochet, some do embroidery, some sew, and some come along just for the company. The cost is $2 each time you come, with afternoon tea provided on a roster basis. The proceeds go to the Bowls Club.

If you feel like donating your homemade goodies to Stitch and HSre, we can pass them on to deserving charities/people or, on a few occasions, have a stall to raise funds to help where we can.

In the past, we have supported the following organisations:

Legacy Kingborough

Helping Hands

Cancer Council Tasmania

Tassie Mum

CWA Shop

Y.M.C.A

Playgroup Tas ( Teddy Bear Hunt)

Tasmania Police & Ambulance

Jireh House

Annie Kenny Home

We have also supported orphanages in Nepal with Days for Girls and Liberia through the Rotary E-Club Next Gen knitting project.
